Induction-style questions test the anatomy of extended proof: base case, inductive hypothesis, inductive step — and where the chain snaps. Even where full induction is not required, Paper 2 probes whether a 'and so on' argument genuinely covers all cases or hand-waves the step.
Check three things: is the base established, does the step assume exactly the hypothesis (no more), and does the conclusion match what was proved? Most planted errors hide in an over-strong hypothesis or a step that proves n+2 from n while claiming all integers.
